Hear every detail
you ripped it for.
Direct-play from your server, gapless between tracks, and a readout of exactly what is playing. On desktop and Android phone, the output can be a DLNA speaker on your network, even when the Plex server is somewhere else.
Gapless playback
Live albums, classical works, and DJ mixes flow exactly as sequenced, with no hiccup between tracks.
Crossfade & Smart Fades
Equal-power fades from 1 to 12 seconds. With Plex Pass sonic analysis, Smart Fades starts the fade where the song fades and hands over gaplessly on an abrupt ending. Without it, the fade is the fixed one.
Loudness leveling
Quiet tracks come up, loud tracks come down, using the loudness analysis your server provides, and the level is set before the first note. Your files are never touched.
10-band EQ
Preamp, twelve presets, and custom curves that persist, running in the local audio engine on iPhone, iPad, Android, and desktop.
Streaming quality
The original file, or a server transcode from 320 down to 128 kbps, with separate Wi-Fi and mobile settings on phones. A change lands on the next track.
Waveform seek
See quiet passages and peaks before you jump. Falls back to Lagu’s rainbow seek on unanalyzed tracks.

Start a station from a track, artist, album, genre, mood, decade — or the whole library at once.
Deep Cuts
Your favorite artists’ least-played tracks, blended and cached locally. The songs you forgot you owned.
Artist Mix Builder
Pick two to eight artists and Lagu interleaves a balanced station from their top tracks. Recent mixes stick around.
Guest DJ
Five personas that top up the queue as it runs low. DJ Gemini walks a sonic path on your server — it is not a cloud AI.
Sonic Adventure
Pick a starting track and a destination; Lagu orders the sonic path between them, on iPhone, iPad, Android, and desktop. Arrive, or drift onward.
Smart playlists
Build Plex smart playlists with live match counts. If Lagu can’t read a rule, it leaves the playlist alone.
Autoplay
When a finite queue ends, Lagu keeps playing music that sounds like the last few tracks you queued, and Up Next marks where your queue ended. Off by default, on every platform, and anything you queue yourself outranks it.

Built around
your queue.
On iPhone and Android the queue survives a restart: it comes back paused where you left it, and nothing streams until you press Play.
Queue guard
Built a queue by hand? A stray tap asks before it throws your work away, so an hour of queueing survives a misclick.
Played history
Only tracks that played, remembered across relaunches and queue changes, right inside Up Next. Any of them can be queued again with Play Next or Add to Queue.
Synced lyrics
Center-locked lines you can tap to seek, full-screen or beside the artwork on TV. Lyrics come from your server — Plex fetches them with Plex Pass, and sideloaded .lrc files work too.
Half-star ratings
Drag across the stars, watch the preview, feel the haptic. Writes straight to your Plex library.
Listening stats
Top artists, albums, and tracks over 4 weeks, 6 months, or all time, counted across every device you use.
Sleep timer
Fades out before it pauses, so the next play isn’t silent. End of track or end of queue, your call.
Scrobbling
Send plays to Last.fm or ListenBrainz: sign in once in Settings, on any platform. Offline plays queue and send when the network returns.

Your album art
colors the room.
Dynamic color
Lagu samples the artwork of whatever’s playing and re-tints the whole app — cross-fading from album to album.
Six visualizers
Spectrum, Radial, Nova, Cover Flow, Oscilloscope, and Trackprint, drawn in the colors of the record that is playing and still when you pause. Apple TV and Android TV run five of them fullscreen, edge to edge, with the mode, lyrics, and seeking on the remote.
Warm themes, or the system’s
Warm graphite in the dark, warm paper in Bloom Light, and on iPhone and Android a System option that follows the phone’s own light and dark setting. The rainbow comes from the logo — and from your covers.

Downloads as a hub
A Recently Downloaded shelf and one counted row each for Playlists, Artists, Albums, and Songs, each with its own sort. iPhone, Android, and desktop.
Downloads know your artists
Three albums by one artist used to mean three unrelated rows. The Artists section shows the artist’s photo, their albums, and every downloaded song of theirs on the device.
Download quality
Keep the original file, or store a smaller one at a bitrate you pick. Each download’s caption names the quality it was stored at.
Offline search
All Songs lists every downloaded track, A–Z or by what came down most recently, searchable with the network off. Per-container sizes and a free-space guard sit behind it.

Every library,
in one list.
If your server keeps music in more than one library, Lagu reads them all at once. Other Plex clients ask you to switch between libraries; Lagu shows them together, and any library you would rather leave out has a toggle.
Libraries, merged
Artists, albums, and songs arrive as one A–Z, ordered the way your server orders them. Home shelves name the library each row came from.
Server switching
Pick which of the Plex servers on your account you are browsing. Every app can make the switch, and the TVs no longer need a sign-out to do it.
CarPlay, Android Auto & Siri
Home, Library, Search, and Downloads on the car screen, from the iPhone or Android app, with playlists and Up Next on Android Auto and playback resuming when the car’s Bluetooth reconnects. Ask Siri for a song or a playlist by name and it plays in Lagu.

Lagu Remote works across platforms: any controller pairs with any host over your own Wi-Fi. CarPlay comes with the iPhone app and Android Auto with the Android app; both follow the car’s template rules, including the shorter lists a car shows while it is moving. Android Auto has been verified on a desktop head unit and is waiting on a pass in a car. The Android tablet and TV apps are coming to Fire OS through the Amazon Appstore.
